HOLY SPIRIT, PLEASE LEAD US!

“Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, SPOKE FROM GOD AS THEY WERE CARRIED ALONG BY THE HOLY SPIRIT.” (2 Pet. 1:20-21) [These men of God spoke as they were carried along or “lead” by the Holy Spirit! Teach us to be sensitive to your Holy Spirit today Abba Father! The Holy Spirit is God’s supreme agent, holy men are instruments used of God by the Holy Spirit to declare God’s will and purpose for us.] “But there were also false prophets among the people, JUST AS THERE WILL BE FALSE TEACHERS AMONG YOU. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them–bringing swift destruction on themselves.” (2 Pet. 2:1) [Thank God that His word is:] “…ALIVE AND ACTIVE Sharper than any double-edged sword, IT PENETRATES even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; IT JUDGES the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” (Heb. 4:12) [God’s word is powerful it is alive and the Holy Spirit is who gives life to the word as we read! How are we protected from false teachers? We must:] “Study and be eager and do your utmost to PRESENT YOURSELF TO GOD APPROVED (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, CORRECTLY ANALYZING AND ACCURATELY DIVIDING [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the WORD OF TRUTH.” (2 Tim. 2:15) AMP [The devil, our enemy, the enemy of our soul, has one purpose for us, to somehow lead us away from our relationship with God!]

“Humble yourselves, therefore, UNDER GOD’S MIGHTY HAND, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO DEVOUR. RESIST HIM, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.” (1 Pet. 5:6-9) [We must submit to God and resist the devil and HEWILL RUN FROM US!] “And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, WILL HIMSELF RESTORE YOU AND MAKE YOU STRONG, FIRM ANDSTEADFAST[dedicated].

TO HIM BE THE POWER FOR EVER AND EVER. Amen.” (1 Pet. 5:10-11)
