BEING IN GOD’S FAVOR…

“The LORD was with Joseph SO THAT HE PROSPERED, and he lived in the house of his Egyptian master. When his master saw that the LORD was with him and that the LORD gave Joseph success in everything he did, JOSEPH FOUND FAVOR IN HIS EYES AND BECAME HIS ATTENDANT. Potiphar put Joseph in charge of his household, and POTIPHAR ENTRUSTED TO HIS CARE EVERYTHING HE OWNED. From the time he put him in charge of his household and of all that he owned, THE LORD BLESSED THE HOUSEHOLD OF THE EGYPTIAN BECAUSE OF JOSEPH. The blessing of the LORD was on everything Potiphar had, both in the house and in the field.” (Gen. 39:2-5)

When Joseph was 17 years old the Lord gave him a vision of his father, mother and 11 brothers bowing down before him. When he excitedly shared with them they thought he was a fool and set out to destroy him. For the next 13 years Joseph suffered much hardship but the Lord was always with Joseph and put favor in the hearts of those who ruled over him. Finally, Joseph stood before Pharaoh and God used Joseph to present a plan that would save Egypt. As a result Pharaoh put Joseph in charge of all of Egypt.

As long as we are willing…
